Launched in Sweden in 2019 by the wonderful woman Merima Zeljkovic Abrigo, Syvênde makes sure you go to the beach in style without compromising the environment. They believe that instead of hiding what a woman may be ashamed of, swimwear should emphasize what a woman is proud of.
They design swimsuits and bikinis using ECONYL® regenerated nylon, a yarn made of abandoned fishing nets, fabric scraps & industrial plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world. The yarn is woven into a premium swimwear fabric which is soft and silky to the touch and is used instead of virgin nylon which is normally made out of crude oil or coal.

Donating to The Ocean Cleanup
If no action is taken, the millions of tons of plastic waste entering our oceans every year will increasingly impact our ecosystems, health, and economies. That’s why Syvênde Swimwear has decided to also donate 5% of all sales to the NGO The Ocean Cleanup who aims to clean up 90% of ocean plastic pollution.
The Ocean Cleanup is developing a passive cleanup method, which uses the natural oceanic forces to rapidly and cost-effectively clean up the plastic already in the oceans. With a full fleet of cleanup systems in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, they aim to clean up 50% of its plastic every five years.
